Privacy policy
When you ask us for a cash offer, you tell us about your property and how to reach you. This page explains what we do with that, what we never do with it, and the choices you have.
The short version
We collect what you type into the offer form, plus basic technical information about your visit.
We use it to evaluate your property, make you an offer, and stay in touch about it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass your lead to other home buyers, wholesalers or agents.
You can ask what we hold, ask us to delete it, and stop texts or emails at any time.
The rest of this page is the full policy. It is written to be read, not skimmed past, so if anything is unclear, ask us and we will explain it plainly.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you request a cash offer, or contact us afterward, you may provide:
- Your name, email address and mobile phone number
- The property address and details about its condition, occupancy, ownership and timeline
- Anything else you choose to tell us in the form, by email or by text, such as a mortgage balance, a foreclosure sale date or a probate status
- Photos or documents you send us about the property
Some of what you share about your situation may be sensitive to you. We only ask for what we need to understand the property and write a fair offer.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our site records technical information when you visit: your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. See Cookies and analytics for how that works.
Information from public records
To evaluate a property you have asked us about, we may look up public information tied to that address, such as Los Angeles County or San Bernardino County assessor and recorder records, recent nearby sales and permit history. We do this only for properties you bring to us.
How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Review the property and prepare a written cash offer
- Contact you about your request by email, text message or phone, using the details you gave us
- Schedule a walkthrough or video call if you decide to move forward
- Open and complete escrow if you accept an offer, which means sharing what the escrow and title company needs to close
- Answer questions and keep a record of what we agreed
- Understand how people use the site so we can make it clearer and faster
- Comply with the law, protect against fraud, and enforce our agreements
If you did not accept an offer, we may follow up later to see whether your situation has changed. You can tell us to stop at any time, and we will.
Text messages and calls
When you submit the offer form and provide a mobile number, you agree that we may contact you by text message (SMS/MMS) and by phone about your property and your request. Messages may include offer updates, scheduling, document requests and follow-ups.
- Frequency varies with your request; we do not send bulk marketing texts.
- Message and data rates may apply according to your carrier plan.
- To stop, reply STOP to any text. We will send one confirmation and then no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can still get an offer without agreeing to texts; just tell us to reach you by email only.
Mobile opt-in and phone numbers collected for text messaging will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. They are shared only with the messaging platform that delivers our texts, and only to send them.
Calls and texts may be made with automated technology. We honor the National Do Not Call Registry and our internal do-not-contact list.
How long we keep it
We keep offer requests and related correspondence for as long as we may reasonably follow up on the property, and afterward as needed for our records. If you sell to us, we keep the transaction file for as long as California law and our title and tax obligations require, generally at least seven years after closing. You can ask us to delete your information sooner; see the next sections.
How we protect it
Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection, and the platforms we use to store leads and messages restrict access to authorized people. We keep access to your information limited to those who need it to handle your request. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
Your California rights
We are a California business, and most of the people we work with are California residents. Whether or not the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) technically applies to a company of our size, we extend these rights to everyone who contacts us:
- Know: ask what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we use it and with whom we share it.
- Access: receive a copy of that information.
- Correct: ask us to fix information that is inaccurate.
- Delete: ask us to delete your information, subject to exceptions such as completing a transaction you started or meeting a legal obligation.
- Opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide a "Do Not Sell or Share" link.
- Limit sensitive information: we use any sensitive details you share only to evaluate and complete your sale.
- No retaliation: we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
To make a request, contact us using the details in How to reach us. We will confirm your identity by matching the details you provide with the request on file, respond within 45 days, and let you know if we need more time. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your written permission.
We also treat a browser Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request for the browser it comes from.
Categories under California law
For clarity, in the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information as defined by the CCPA: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); personal records (property address and ownership details); commercial information (property condition, mortgage and sale details you share); internet activity (pages viewed, referrer); and approximate geolocation from IP address. We collect them for the purposes described above, and we have not sold or shared them.
Children
Our services are for adults selling real property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other sites
Our site may link to third-party sites, such as county records or a title company. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The effective date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will let you know by email or a notice on the site before it takes effect.
